BaHumBug comes to mind Wes!! huh.gif

People: Just to let you know, if you have sent in your entry and given a credit card to charge it to, the charge may appear on your statement as:

"Msec Flemington"

At least I *THINK* that's what the charge is for!? blink.gif Otherwise I'm being scammed...

Firstly why is this in the "Non-Club Events" section of this forum?

Anyway there were a number of people handing out flyers for this event but funny enough they were saying that although a lot people had booked accomodation they had not received a lot nomination forms.

Well I hope you've got your in if you intend going & you have a great time.

Firstly why is this in the "Non-Club Events" section of this forum?

Well Wes, it is in this section of the forum because it is a 'Non Club Event', not only to be attended by our club members but all monaro owners that are interested, whether they are a part of our club or just peruse our forum. Therefore it should be able to be viewed by any persons out there that can. Same as if and when we would be holding again a similar event. I would envision that the "spread the word" philosophy would be beneficial to the marketing of the event and "monaro's" in general.

Publicity is publicity and we should be supporting our fellow Monaro Interstate Clubs and members as they would us. cool.gif

As to your other comments, time will tell about the numbers and the number of entries. As history shows and we all know, a great majority of people leave it to the last minute to actually lodge an entry form. As to mine...... sent and I can't wait.....Drags here I come ph34r.gif

Received my email confirmation last night and on the email it stated "If you are paying with a credit card, the payment will be made soon, look for "MSEC Flemington" to appear on your statement."

Alls good!! I'm entrant number 110 ph34r.gif

Peeps!

Why aren't your cars on the "Entrant's Cars" page!?!?

http://www.monaroclubvic.asn.au/nationals/entrants_cars.html

Only three I recognise are Pat O's (I think), mine and VPPP's.

It's getting close now. smile.gif Who's excited?

Cheers - LE Prez.

ovaloffice- 10-13-2008
Im all paid up and starting to get the car ready SOOOO...YES im getting excited!!!

V.V.

&Rumour¼- 10-13-2008
Well...no replies, I guess no one'es excited. sad.gif

On another note, did anyone else get an "Entrant Newsletter" today?

I notice that there are a few arrangements made there which (and I'm going to be brutally honest here) make me feel like a second class entrant...

Just wondering what others feel?

Still looking forward to it as it'll be as good as you/me/we make it.

Cheers - Andrew

Monaro Mad- 10-13-2008
Yes i am excited, but will be more excited when i had finished getting the car ready and are heading on our way!

I did receive a copy of the entrants newsletter today, however i am unsure why you feel like a second class entrant. It is my first nationals though. I am entrant #196 (pic of car is on site)

Catch you at the run or the NATIONALS!
Jodie

Got mine today, guess they're sending them as the entries arrived although #196 got theirs before #91.wacko.gif

Can't say I felt like a 2nd class entrant, I guess you were referring to the HK and Concourse trophy presentations? Get used to it, I did a long time ago and that's why I don't care about that stuff.

At least one of your cars has steel bumpers mate. Boo hoo for the plastics, we have always been a bit second class.

As I have said before, if it wasn't for the modern muscle cars there wouldn't be the resurgence of interest and the value of the so called "classics" wouldn't be what it was. Not too sure it "is" any more though.

On a brighter note, who's doing what on the Sunday?

Not participating in the drags myself and was wondering how many were going on the tour???? unsure.gif

Turismo_Monaro- 10-16-2008
As you can guess I'm dragging on the Sunday.

I was hoping you were going to be part of my cheerleaders, you know short shorts pom poms biggrin.gif

ovaloffice- 10-16-2008
Well i have 5 days off from thursday, so its back to work on the tuesday. That leaves me out of the HSV factory tour sad.gif but thats ok as i will get another opportunity! wink.gif

I only paid the other week, talk about been slack and all.

V.V.

Oh yeh the vehicle in question is starting to look good! and i may cheer u on Penstar minus the skirt!!! biggrin.gif biggrin.gif biggrin.gif

'course, if it wasn't for the "so called "classics"", the "plastics" would be just a "two-door Commodore", eh? ph34r.gif biggrin.gif
