Shannons Sydney auction last year and the Warwick Yellow HK 327 sold for 220K and last Monday at Shannons Melb. a really nice original Gold Type 2 HK 327 sold for 120K.
Whats going on ? Are the prices falling ? or is Warick Yellow worth 100K more than any other colour ?

Its hard to know what is happening to prices of "Aussie Muscle Cars"
With these 2 HK 327s, the Warwick Yellow car was a better car ( not as good as some would have you believe) But not worth 100K more
There are better HK 327s around than both these cars..

With the colours, Warwick Yellow & Silver Mink are the most sort after and would command a slightly higher price, still not 100K more.

The Warwick Yellow 327 was sold to a phone bidder from WA unseen, and in my opinon paid too much, sure it was one of the "Hero Colours"

The other thing that happens is you get 2 cashed up buyers and it sends the Price higher than you would think, then when you run out of cashed up buyers the prices don't reach those same $$$.

Also there is people out there in the big world whose aim is push prices as high as they can purely for a Quick Profit.
These people are not genuine Enthusiats of "Aussie Muscle Cars"

If one of the Best HK 327 Monaros came on the Market, this woud create a lot of interest with the genuine Enthusiats and high $$$ would most likely happen.

Some sellers are trying to sell second rate cars or worse for big $$$

mmm, i don't think prices are coming down, really depends on who has got the dollars and who doesn't.

i am for prices getting jacked up, if people are prepared to pay that sort of money for those sorts of cars, let them pay.

these price rises have allowed me to spend more on my car and get it on the road sooner.

WA is where all the big dollar cars are going, they guy that bought my yellow peril was saying that a GTS coupe (HQ) sold over there the other day for 75k!! he also added that is wasn't as good as mine!

I also heard a report of a GTHO owner being offered $990,000 and declined.

There is alot of $$$ in the mines over there and bugger all muscle cars compared to the east side, so the prices are definately sky-rocketing. Makes for good profit margin for an owner wishing to sell and a bone cracking debt for those wanting to buy.

I heard that the guy who bought the last monaro also bought what i think was a HO for around 660,000, geez i,m sure there cheaper around the Cross!!!

Its become like the GTHOs everyone you now has one and worth a millon dollars everyone think they can make $$$$$$$$$ but it still a replica

Its the same old Story if a Very Good one Owner Car with fairly low Miles comes on the market it will sell for a Premium Price.. The other thing with this 307 its a Manual and its one of the Favoured Colours (Silver Mink & Warwick Yellow)

With the High Prices these days a lot of Rubbish is coming on the Market which sell for a lot less....

If I had $600,000 to waste on a car I can think of plenty of others before buying a GT...and yes apparently it is the same bloke.
