G'day all. I was just going through some of the pics from the Canobolas Monaro day in Orange held about a month ago and wondering about the well-loved white HJ coupe badged with LS Monaro badges.
I own a HQ LS and it surprised me to see a HJ LS. Ive never seen any info or advertising on one, let alone one in the metal. I noticed the broad aluminium strip along the boot lip at the back of the car looked similar to a 'proptotype' LS Monaro photo i have seen.
Was this the real deal or was it the result of pieced together cars (say, a HQ with a front clip on it?). Although the dash looked HJ too?. Did they make a HJ LS? If so, I have just found out that with as much as you think you know, you cant know everything.
Might catch up with a few of you at the Holden Day at Hawksbury this coming weekend. (Keep an eye out for the "Not the Kingswood" on the back window) .
Regards Dean
Hi Dean it is what you think. It is a HJ LS with a 6 cyclinder 202 which makes it a rare car. It will be at AHD this weekend parked with the Club.
You are not Monaromad - it's a very rare car indeed just like the HJ GTS Coupe.
