Don't forget to all who have entered for this Sunday's big show - the clocks will be moved FORWARD one hour - don't be late.

hjmonaro- 10-22-2007
That also applies to Father... biggrin.gif

Whats this about me being late???

" OO "

Dicko- 10-23-2007
There are some situations where taking longer to arrive is desirable... huh.gif

MITS IS NOT ONE OF THEM blink.gif

Well well, what a day!

It cannot go unmentioned that Vince was there bright and early but SS was the one who was LATE!!!

Anyhoos, despite it being a long day, I have to say that from my POV it all went off really well, and was a credit to the blokes who organised it: Denis, Wes and Vince I believe (please forgive me if you were involved and I've neglected to mention you....)

Congratulations to all those who took home some tinware (glassware???) and a huge THANK YOU to Paul Wakeling Holden for having us there, and for their on-going support of the club.

Andrew, the credit should go to Denis & Vince who did the majority of the work getting the show up & running.

How good our club cars look today - bloody fantastic & I got lots of comments on all the cars from both PW Holden staff & the public.

Thanks go to our members who brought their beauties out for the day & were well rewarded for their efforts.

Penny, Kelly, Peter, Hugh, Craig, Paul, Neil & Meg, Tiff, Jussi, Jodie & John, Shaun, Andrew, Stephen S, Claire, Arron, Glen, Craig, Mikko, Brett, George, Uncle Bill & Fay, John, Bruno, Chris, Stephen H. Stuart, Nick & of course Rob K whose car is off the road at the moment getting restored but who keeps turning up to events to support the club.

To Paul Wakeling & his staff thanks for having us again at your dealership for 3rd year running & I hope we are still going there in another 10 years.

Dicko - you are lucky I like you!!!!!!!

Thankyou to you all who attended the 3rd annual MITS from all concerned. Your efforts are much appreciated and supported. As you all know things like this dont just happen!

Denis, our VP cannot be thanked enough as when it mattered most the job was done. John and Jodie should also be thanked for picking up the trophies on the Saturday before. There are many people i could thank for one reason or another.

Members who turn up without a car shows commitment and is something i hold in high regards.

Now of the day i enjoyed it and trust you did also, as to those who couldnt be there or didnt want to be there you missed out on a thoroughly enjoyable day with not a sour note to report on. The PWMG show our club immense support by doing what they do for us and continously now for three years which is just awesome! So i been thinking that out of the funds which they contribute to the show ( for us and HSV club ) that we should contribute something back, namely a monetry figure donated to the " Wheels for life " program which helps out sick children at the local hospitals. I would appreciate your thoughts on this one.

Remember...by giving a little, we can gain a lot!

Gee i love the good times i have with good friends and that includes you!!!

Kind regards,
Father Vincent.

Yeah I agree VV - the meeting is on this Sunday night so I am sure giving a donation to that charity will not present too big problem.

Personally I think it's time we added a link to PWH & maybe get a new banner with their name on it - after 3 years of sponsorship of MITS it's only fitting that we can do that for them.

It sounds like you all had a great day, sorry we missed it (karting again) maybe next year with a black car, maybe, now looking forward to the xmas party.
Congratulations to all involved.
Paul.

commanderwhite- 10-31-2007
Oh well like you said there is always next year - I will have to come out to watch you do your karting as my young bloke wants to do it - He thinks his dad is rich!

stressedout350- 10-31-2007
I don't race myself my 2 boys do it, you'd better have a bit of cash I'm down $10,000 this year alone and I'm no where near rich. Send me a PM if you want to take youre young bloke for a look.
Paul.
