This might interest the "steel bumper" brigade:

Oh no, why did you show me that! lol smile.gif I'm kinda a model collector and would love to get my hands on most of them cool.gif thanks for the heads up

mnro11- 03-27-2007
Yeah saw that myself. I wonder if &Rumour would be interested in the 1:18 scale LE? Doesn't look too bad for a wannabe Munro wink.gif

Dicko- 03-27-2007
Dunno about the steel bumper brigade...
I just want some... blink.gif

Got a half decent collection... around 300... mostly all Australian built cars, with the odd Chevy here & there.

Just can't resist, can ya? But whatever, at least my back windows go up and down. And it's strange, but I don't see any Devil Yellow CV8s on there as Classic Carlectables... tongue.gif

Probably find all the "plastic Munro's" have been sold due to high demand tongue.gif.

Was in Orange this morning & called into Willoughby's Model Cars. They didn't make a VZ at all... dunno why, they wouldn't give me a reason sad.gif. The only "plactic fantastic" they had in stock was the blue Peter Brock Road Car (in 1:18 scale that is). They're getting scarce & if you can find them on ebay they want a small fortune.

They did have a decent stock generally, but nothing that I needed or wanted unfortunately. They have a couple of HK, HT & HG models in 1:18 that looked good & a lime green (can't remember the actual colour) HQ that did look excellent, but it was a traded model, not MIB.

If anyone notices a Sting Red GTS Coupe model for sale on ebay, or anywhere for that matter, please let me know. The guys at Willoughby's told me he took advance orders when they made them & pre-sold all of the stock he was allocated.

Come around to my joint mate and you will see my 1:18 model of a Devil series 11 CV8, manual no less. biggrin.gif

Better the back windows than the back door or the back of the pants my friend, laugh.gif , not that there's anything wrong with that. huh.gif

Hear, hear Peter my good man wink.gif

I have had some luck at the following:-

Gateway models

Sportcraft - a US site but great for F1

Frontline - Newcastle mob and very helpful.

A little extra for postage but I have not experienced any problems with any of these traders. Hope this helps and good luck mate.

I joined up at Biante and emailed them about some future models I would like to see and they will definitely let you know if they intend to make particular models or not. Looking for a 1982 Brock VH in 1:43 scale, they are going to make one so I'll will wait for them.

Boys and their bloody toys!! Bloody little toy cars dry.gif blink.gif

I do believe that Tigerwolf is of the female gender and am feeling discriminated by that generalisation biggrin.gif

Turismo_Monaro- 03-28-2007
Boobies to you Bigus Peteus tongue.gif

etruscan- 03-28-2007
On a serious note..... a 1/18th scale HQ LS would be nice rolleyes.gif . I know it's not a "real" Monaro, but probably the most common one to wear the badge!

Yep biggrin.gif but I'm as bad as a guy when it comes to motorbikes and cars! I fear to count how many models I have altogether..... ALOT! and most are the ones are the plastic models you build. One of my little hobbies cool.gif Funny.... when I went overseas to Hawaii/ Vegas, you think i'd have heaps of tourist type souvenirs.... nope... alot of car models were brought back tongue.gif

Noone would ever accuse a HQ LS of not being a Munro matey. The whole point of the quote was a kinda not-so private joke between &Rumour and me over the lack of the word Monaro on his LE. He quite rightly, in his opinion, dry.gif points out that only real Monaros have rear windows that go up and down. The V2s do not.

Just gagging around really mate, you know what we're like, vicious biggrin.gif

There is a gift idea there though for the man who has everything biggrin.gif , a lot more thoughtful than....say.....a smack in the head or the flu for example. blink.gif

One of your endearing qualities Tigermoth. Good taste in motor vehicles too, similar to mine in a lot of cases, 50s Chevies etc.

commanderwhite- 03-28-2007
I have good collection of 1/18 models but they are all of the great man's rides - yes that's right I only collect Brock Collection models.

If they released a HJ Coupe in Jamaica Lime with a cream vynil roof then I would add this unique model to my collection.

What? Next you'll be telling me that V2s have a "B" pillar..... just like a Commodore!!!!! biggrin.gif
