G'day Pinky and welcome aboard.

As a long time mate of the club and a fair few of its members you're always welcome here. biggrin.gif

Looks pretty interesting.

Yeah looks good.

Spoke to Pinky at the Camden Lioness Show B4 Bathurst & it sounds like a goer.

I will be entering my baby.

Judging by the phone calls some people are worried about rain on Sunday. I can assure everybody that I believe it could be showers in the morning then overcast. The show will still go on. Obviously common sense must prevail and if we have raging storm, like what just happened here at Windsor, Friday night 8pm, then I will have to re appraise the situation on Sunday. After all this show is about Genuine Street Ridden and Street Driven Bikes and Cars. Guess we wont see many trailered elite, and they dont qualify for major prize pool at Grand Final anyway. Hoping weather will be good for everybody. All the best. Pinky.

A few of our members will be there Pinky, bought it up at the last club meeting.

Good luck and we hope it's a success for you mate.

commanderwhite- 11-15-2008

Yeah 3 of us went.

TW, The Whites & Me.

Good show - well run.

The White's car won one of the Rare Spares Top 10 - well done.

One thing though the judges walked straight past didn't even look at my car - spent 5 mins looking at the White's & about 30 secs looking at TW's.

A bit disappointing not even to have your car looked at oh well sh-t happens.

Round 2 will be held on the 18/1/09 at Uncle Leo's.

On ya to the winners smile.gif On a roll after the Nats it looks like, cream always rises to the top.

Never mind there Wes, dunno what they look for at times myself so I don't bother ticking the judging box at any show I enter. Just there for the fun and catch up with mates.

Better luck next time to all, you never know Wes someone may appreciate that rare beast that is your HJ coupe my friend.

Fantastic plastics from our club rule yet again!! tongue.gif

Onya Neil & Meg.... you are doing the club proud cool.gif

Hang in there Wes, there is a couple more rounds to go yet. Hopefully, I'll be able to make one. And seeing as though they DO acknowledge and obviously appreciate the new breed of Munro's, it gives us new generation owners a reason to get our cars out for shows as well.

Thanks Pen, it was a good day,the sun was shining and there were plenty of different cars and bikes to look at. It was nice to see some beautiful cars that are actually NOT kept in the shed all their lives. dry.gif Whats the saying, Drive em, dont hide em? biggrin.gif
It would be good if a few more members could make it for next time, maybe even take the Banner and make a club display? So hopefully
we will see you all there. Cheers, meg

To everybody who attended the 1st round of the Aussie Carpark Showdown I send a very special THANKS. Your support is truly admirable and the show would not have been a success without your help. We received 202 entries and thankfully everybody got in. All other carparks are much bigger and better.
The amount of praises, pats on the back, etc, was warmly accepted by myself, but I must give mention to my Family for all the help. My Children, My Grand children and Great Grandson all contributed with a lot of hard work. The Pritchard Hotel also says Thanks and want another show in the future.
I know I had some teething problems re entering the show carpark and shall work on trying to make it better and easier for the future. I appreciate everybody for not going crook, when they could have.
To Wes. I am sure the judges would not have deliberately avoided looking at your
car.I have been lucky enough, and honoured, to have the best experienced judges
on the Australian Car Show scene.I am not defending the judges, as I believe your comment is genuine, and not a whinge.
For this reason I shall let the judges know, as it may be something they may
not even think about. Remember at one day shows they only have a narrow time limit, and sometimes they have a large number of cars, etc to check out.
In this case - 202 cars and bikes, which they had to check in a time limit of 2 hours. This works out at 1 car per every 1.683 minutes.
When you look at those figures, you might understand the pressure they are
under.
They have many, many years of judging experience and their experience, means you can generally just walk past and quickly sum up the potential of any car or bike. I know this to be a fact, because even I can look at a car from a distance and reasonably sum it up, and I am not even a judge.
This comes from years of being actively involved, as an Announcer, on the car show scene. I have learnt, and listened to judges, from all over Australia,

The next round will be on Sunday 18th January 2009, at Uncle Leos Truck Stop. Campbelltown Rd. Leppington, (just down the road from the Crossroads Hotel, before the entrance to the Freeway to Campbelltown). Show starts at 10am with Presentations at 2.30pm.
All the best. Pinky

No worries Pinky mate.

I have always attended your shows & will continue to do.

Like I said it was a great show & yes I hope that next time we can get some more members to attend.

Anyway I can't make the next round due to hols but will definitely be at the remaining rounds in 09.
