Hi, I am new to this forum.
I am interested if anybody knows anything about the Ron Dickson HQ Monaro that ran at Bathurst in 1973. Specifically I am interested in what wheel size it ran. From the pics I have found it looks like it ran larger wheels than the 14x6 that were on the standard model.
Any info on the car would be appreciated.
Cheers
Welcome aboard nuts. Hopefully there is someone out there who can help.
Thanks.
I know the car still lives and has been restored. I remember seeing an article on it in one of the classic car mags.
Hi nuts and welcome,
It may be worthwhile making some enquiries to see if the car will be making an appearance at the Muscle car masters at EC on Sept 7.
This HQ Regularly turns up at Shows Like Monaro Nationals and The Masters, it also was a The AFPC Nationals in 2006...
I took a pic of it from the rear coincidentally last week at the masters. Its currently wearing 15inch Minilites or a copy of those by the looks of it these days. 73 was the first year of Group C and a lot of cars ran 15 inch alloy wheels made by Mawer engineering, if I get time Ill look at my footage and see what it had.
Anyone remember which classic car magazine ran an article on Dicksons HQ? I though it might have been Australian Muscle Car mag, but I can only find a pic of it at MCM in 07.
