Hi all,

Just wanted to let you know that i have organised to have Ash Coopers current Fujitsu V8 Supercar on display with our HSV Club at the Shannons display in Canberra on March 16.

The day is open to all makes and models and attracted over 500 cars last year and is held on the lawns of Old Parliament House.

It appears that their web site is down so i,ll let you also know that there is no cost to enter your car.

Any member of the public can sit in the Supercar, even the big kids.

The Bathurst Walkinshaw of Win Percy should also be with our display as long as it survives a historic race meeting at Phillip Island the previous weekend.

Hi again,

We have also been lucky enough to secure the 89 Bathurst VL Walkinshaw of Win Percy and Neil Crompton in all its livery as our guests.

Come and make a day of it.

Brad

I would've come down just to see you Brad wink.gif , the cars would just be a bonus biggrin.gif but I'll be in Nelsons Bay next weekend, not even going on the club run mate.

Hope all's well.

The V8 Supercar that was going to be on display with us was the car driven by Ash Cooper who as some of you may know was involved in a massive accident at the Clipsal today.
I spoke to Ash,s father this afternoon and he told me that Ash had an emergency tracheotomy performed at the scene.
He has massive internal and head injuries and is listed as critical.
Our thoughts and prayers go out to Ash and his family.

All our best wishes to ash for a full and speedy recovery. It's always terrible to hear this kind of news.

Absolutey, we wish Ash and his family our warmest thoughts and hopes for a full and speedy recovery. It was a sickening crash.

There is so little that one can say at times like this.

I have just been informed that Ash is currently on life support. sad.gif

Tiny- 02-23-2008
As terrible as life support sounds, We have to put our trust and faith in the highly skilled medical teams at the hospital that have ash's best interests in mind.

I hope that the life support system is what his body needs to take the strain off itself so it can begin the healing process and bring him quickly back to full health.

As pete said, Our thoughts are with Ash, his family and friends in this difficult time.

Regards
Tiny and simmo.

To think that only last week i was having a joke with Ash about keeping his car off the wall so that it would look good in our display.
Tell everyone close to you that you love them.

We will miss you mate.

Tiny- 02-25-2008
Condolences to Ash's family and friends in this tragic time.

I never met Ash but he was one of the hundreds who each weekend go out & put their lives on the line so they can entertain us.

To his family & friends my family's deepest condolences.

It is another sad day for us motorsports to lose one of our own.

R.I.P. Ashley Cooper
